Welcome to aqCONterra, a dedicated team of conservators committed to preserving and protecting cultural heritage for future generations through specialized conservation practices. We believe that every archaeological or historical object and monument hides a unique story, and it is our responsibility to ensure these stories continue to live on.
Our History
Our journey began nearly a decade ago, when a small group of students, united by a shared vision, began collaborating on diverse projects, exchanging knowledge and overcoming challenges even in the most remote locations. Each new project provided us with valuable skills and experience. In 2024, we established aqCONterra to provide specialized conservation services that go beyond the ordinary.
Our Expertise
What makes us unique is that our conservation efforts know no bounds—whether on land or in the water, we protect cultural heritage wherever it may be found. We are the first company in Greece to offer specialized conservation services for underwater cultural assets, with experience in both in situ conservation of underwater monuments and the conservation of objects, collections, and monuments on land.

Conservation of Objects and Monuments
Our team offers tailored solutions for the conservation of individual objects, as well as entire collections, archaeological sites, and architectural monuments, ensuring their long-term preservation. We specialize in the conservation of:
- Metal, ceramic, glass, stone, organic materials, textiles, excavated/archaeological wood, and charcoal
- Objects from diverse cultural contexts, such as archaeological, ethnological, modern, and historical
- Ancient remains, mosaics, and historical buildings
Underwater Conservation Services
Our team consists of specialized diving conservators with experience in the preservation, maintenance, and protection of underwater cultural heritage. We offer a wide range of underwater conservation services, including:
- Documentation and monitoring of underwater findings and submerged architectural remains
- Recovery of archaeological and historical artifacts
- On-site mechanical cleaning, stabilization, and initial first-aid measures
- On-site application of repair mortars
- On-site cathodic protection of metal objects

Trainings
